I’m feeling like I should only upload my art on deviant art from now on since I get more attention that way and since I feel like Newgrounds might be shutting down soon since I personally doubt there’s going to be enough people to fund the website. But _never_ put all your eggs in one basket. Check out where other artists who publish similar works upload their content. Then create accounts in those places as well. If some of the other places are not to your liking, you will have alternatives.
Part of the reason I’m leaving is because someone sent me nudes in dms here for no reason and it made me lose respect for the site.

While I totally agree that Newgrounds isn't the right place to 'grow an audience' for most artists, it is a great place to 'grow as an artist'. Looking at some of your drawings has made me think that you might benefit from an 'artist's glove' - if you're not already using one.

I used to use artist gloves, but they wore out too quickly and they gathered granite easily and smeared, so I prefer to dry my hands off when I get too sweaty when drawing.

@AstonQ That would have been a spam-bot. There's really nothing you can do against them beforehand aside from setting your PM-option to 'friends only'. Artist get probably more spam from them, because those bots crawl lists like the latest news posts, etc.
I think most users report those PMs (the little flag in the corner) and move on, but I understand and respect that everyone has different sensibilities. Go where you can feel comfortable.
@AlexToolStudio I didn't hear about the 2024-part, but I know that the servers and the mods don't run on love alone... Mr. Fulp has been very transparent about the site operating at a loss for quite a while now. (I think it's in the wiki.)
And let's be perfectly honest for a moment: No matter how rewarding 'the work' associated with the site might feel - the user base is 'not' rewarding to work with for most of the time. I have seen far too many artist who host hundreds of MB of stuff here with fat Patreon-links all over the place and 10.k followers and clearly generate money through NG in some way shape or form, but do not even have supporter status.
If I was in his position I would have made uploading a supporter privilege and purged everything older than a year with a rating under 2.5 or less than 5 votes a long time ago to reduce the server costs at least a little. Yes, it would absolutely sips off some people, but at least there's still a site they can be angry 'about'.
@AstonQ I am also an artist, this sites designed for everything, but games is more popular than others
